Our fourth die and the last in this release is Decade. This reminds players that climate will get worse without concerted action NOW. The Decade die is rolled before scheduled fixtures and picks a decade anytime between now and 2070.

A Saturday is then selected at random in that decade. Depending on the time in the season will adjust probabilities of match cancellation as being too wet, too hot or too dry.  These probabilities are simplistic in the launch version and will increasingly be based on scientific predictions. Who said science can’t be fun?

The below shows what might happen on the 25th of July 2048. Half of all community matches are Abandoned as the weather is Too Hot. In addition to Climate Failure we’re adding a Club Failure probability too. Every club will struggle if you can’t play half your matches.
