EV Charger conundrum

A new development at our Claydon Court HQ is the expansion of our EV Charger ‘farm’ from 3 to 6 with the capacity to double again from 6 to 12 when needed. New Sevadis chargers allow precise energy measurement, and how this is costed to the companies and people who work here is under discussion.

In the meantime the split of electricity use is a new measure we will be providing every quarter to enable informed decisions on current and future charging methods. It’s likely that EV charger use will overtake office space quite quickly.

What then for our Carbon Charter requirement to reduce energy use and carbon emissions? Our only option seems to be to include associated reductions in tenant commuting and travel emissions but we have no access to these indirect sources.
