Our Carbon Champions project is underpinned by a single carbon community and multiple carbon calculators. The latter are needed to meet the specific needs of individual communities and are designed to be easily adapted and swiftly replicated.

Our latest version adds the functionality needed to complete our ‘Less is MOR’ mantra. Measuring is delivered in three-dimensions, Reducing through Act Now! gamification and, finally, Offsetting by investing in natural resources at club, competition, county and community levels.

Sponsor Neutral Territory has opened the innings by offsetting all of Eight Ash Green Cricket Club’s projected emissions until 2030. This projection assumes the club reduces emissions by 90% by then, and gives the club an incentive to make the 22% per annum savings needed.

Below shows an example offset at county level. The offset investment will be located in that county and shared with all adopted clubs in that county. This enables people to support a community and an incentive for clubs to take action. Time limiting such offers adds ‘Scarcity and Avoidance’ pressure.
