All North Essex Cricket League (NECL) and most Northern Gateway Indoor League (NGIL) clubs now have a simple carbon plan.  These estimate a club’s carbon emissions from energy and transport for these leagues in the 2022-23 season. This service and subsequent support is provided free of charge.

We now help clubs recruit (preferably young) Carbon Champions to learn how to understand these measurements and then reduce them.  Crucially, they are working to fine-tune an existing plan, not starting from scratch.  And we try to make it fun.

Offsetting emissions by buying natural resources to absorb a club’s carbon is encouraged. Making this local is key here so members can benefit from this action.  It doesn’t cost much and help finding offset options and potential funding will also be provided.
