We’ve measured electricity use at our Claydon Court HQ since 2009 as the below chart confirms. 2009 and 2010 were pre-extension (Orchard Suite) and are adjusted upwards to reflect this. The dip in 2013 / 14 reflects low occupancy when a tenants worked elsewhere.

Weather impacts (as much cooling in summer as heating in winter) so too do adding solar panels since 2019. Home working during Covid has lowered heating and ventilation (HVAC) uses but not equipment which often remains on. Despite all these ‘variables in the equation’ energy use is showing a gentle decline over the decade.
