Reece Topley back in form!

Great to see Reece Topley back in form for England this week after so many trials and tribulations in recent years.

Reece and Eight Ash Green CC go back a long way and the club is eternally grateful to him for presenting them with their World Land Trust Certificate back in 2014 when they became the world’s first Carbon Balanced cricket club.

The club’s association with his dad goes back even further, and Essex & Zimbabwe International Don Topley kindly opened the extension to the EAGCC pavilion in 2002. It was a bit of come down after Sir Len Hutton opened the original in 1960 but he was all the club could afford.

And here’s an even earlier pic from EAGCC’s cricket week in 1989. Please note the caption is a joke. As a member of Lord’s Taverners, Don was handing a bag of kit the other way.
