Claydon Court will soon have Electric Vehicle (EV) ‘fast charge’ points installed in our visitor parking spaces at a cost after grant of £1k each. This is to ensure people visiting from far away can recharge before returning. They will also be available for tenants but there shouldn’t be much need if people live locally.
If tenants want to have their own charge points for exclusive use, then we are happy to oblige. This clearly a ‘fixed asset’ so the cost is shared to encourage uptake i.e. £500 plus VAT per point.
EVs will only really work if people have charging points at home too. This is cheaper and after grant will cost £250, although some suppliers e.g. Ovo will install for free if people swap to their EV package. One tenant – ShowBiz Software – is meeting half of any costs to encourage colleagues to sign up.
