Met with Ned Harrison from Suffolk County Council today and went through the
research proposal for LCD learnt a lot from this. Sounds like there should be a
strong force of expertise who will be interested in LCD, to chip into our online
community. Looking forward to seeing his research on local schemes to offset
carbon from a few years ago, hopeful can revive this and the excess carbon that
our cohort of businesses can’t reduce can be offset in Suffolk, a further push towards
Suffolk becoming the greenest county ever. Ned’s insight into the next batch of
funding from the EU could give us a further target, if we set up a strong
network that continues to help reduce carbon output then perhaps the 2014 batch
of funding could add incentive and the essential money that is needed to make
improvements to properties and businesses.
