I’ve dabbled a lot in Moodle over the years as a great open source Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and was tempted to use this to underpin ‘LCC Lite’.  There’s a lot of debate about the structuring of ELearning and we’ve experimented along the formality continuum using Moodle, SharePoint and others.  

The platform for LCCL needs to be very loose if it’s to work and I’ve recently discovered BuddyPress, the social media version of WordPress.  I love WordPress both for the simplicity and again for its open source ethos.   The site is being based on the simple intranet site created for Claydon Court by Fever and will be fully on-line by end-June.
