We start by estimating emissions need to be comfortable with uncertainty. Lots of carbon calculators about but ours works in 3 dimensions. Length (time), height (level) and width (scope) to project emissions across the decade.

Offset

Offsetting means investing in natural assets to absorb your carbon emissions. It has bad publicity and excused as ‘paying to pollute’. Maybe, but that’s better than NOT paying to pollute. Offsetting advances our sustainability ambitions too by supporting accredited wildlife organisations

Reduce

Reducing emissions is our top priority. Our aim is to reduce emissions by 90% leaving a residual 10% in perpetuity, our preferred definition of Carbon Net Zero. A more realistic target in the meantime is to Carbon Balanced.
