Changing individual behaviour

One of the findings from our Carbon Champions research is the need to switch from influencing organisational policy to changing individual behaviour. The way we’re doing this is borrowing ideas from gamification, specifically those from Octalysis by You-Kai Chou.

A top level analysis shown above illustrates this.  Scoring of previous programmes suggests a bias towards Left Brain, White Hat interventions leading to short-lived, extrinsic motivation.  Interventions to correct this in Carbon Champions are proposed in the text boxes.
