As we pick up the stragglers – what will be learnt?

As we reach the point of all the 8 audits being completed soon, I reflect on how easy it has been to gather the information needed to complete them.

Those companies who were sat down and data was gathered as we discussed Low Carbon Deviants and the potentials of the scheme are all waiting for their audit results back as their files sit in my ready to send folder waiting to be accompanied by the late comers.

This was done on purpose however to see the importance of that first meeting, we now need to substitute this meeting with online engagement as it is not sustainable for each business to be met in person. But clearly only being nagged by email has not led to Audits being filled in.

Now for each new cohort the Audit could be put online and it made clear that it has to be filled in by date X if not it won’t be available to fill in however this is a STICK and we don’t whip our donkeys*  … we give them CARROTs.

So a gamified Carbon Audit is on the horizon, be reward for inputting your annual kWh feel compelled and excited as to what you will get when you summit the number of bags of rubbish you use each day. This way all at the same time 10, a 100, 1000 businesses could fill in their carbon Audit and at any time of the day. By making this fun anything is possible – lessons learnt, changes made, carbon saved.
