Last year’s Carbon Centurion project highlighted that simple carbon calculators were of limited help to cricket and other communities, sporting or otherwise. To provide the tools needed, Neutral Territory has created what we believe to be the world’s first 3D Carbon Calculator.

Our first dimension is width or scope, and for our cricket pilot project we’ve started with energy, transport and food. Our second dimension is length or time, and a template based on earlier work enables clubs to estimate emissions and project them forward over the decade. Our third dimension is height or level, and by aggregating clubs by competition or county we provide emission statistics never seen before.

The fourth dimension is the people needed to operate the calculator and these are recruited and supported by our Carbon Champions online community created for this purpose.
