PV panels that don’t look bloody awful

We’ve often been criticised for abrogating our responsibility to do more to reduce energy consumption rather than simply balance / offset it with the fantastic World Land Trust.   Well we’re finally biting the bullet and have ordered PV panels for our Claydon Court HQ in Ipswich.

Part of the reason was the long payback period on this investment and the temptation to wait until more efficient, lower cost new models appeared.  But the main problem is that most PV roof panels look bloody awful and, having carefully managed our property image, the cost would outweigh the benefit.

We’ve overcome this by carefully choosing all-black panels and rails and installing a sensible number in the space available rather than cramming panels in anywhere.  The work was done by Greenscape Energy who did a great job.
