With 28,625 enterprises with fewer than 20 employees in Suffolk alone  (Suffolk Observatory) , the challenge of helping SMEs lower carbon emissions is massive. One way to do this is to use ‘champions’ – people committed to the cause and happy to give up some time to help others for no financial reward.  Not only is this affordable, but such people are often better placed to provide the help needed. The idea of Low Carbon Champions CIC originated with Suffolk County Council’s LCC project which ran from 2010 to 2012.  Hopefully many of the champions created then will not only spread the word in their own organisations but help the wider community via this web site too.   Neutral Territory is sponsoring the LCC CIC programme again this year.  Subscribe at the site for more details.
